Keylor Navas

Keylor Navas, a Costa Rican excellent footballer, was born in Pérez Zeledón, Costa Rica on December 15, 1986. He started his football career with Deportivo Saprissa. Then he dropped out of the football club and became a regular of Albacete Balompie in Spain.

In November 2005, Keylor Navas completed his first appearance in a match against Asociación Deportiva Carmelita. As the first-choice keeper of the football club, he won six national champions and the CONCACAF Champions' Cup in 2005 in his two final seasons.

Navas reached an agreement with Albacete Balompié of the Segunda División in Spain. He occupied the same position of Luis Conejo. He participated in 36 matches out of 42 in his first season with the club. But, unfortunately, the football club was relegated for poor performances at football fields.

In the 2011-12 season, Navas reached La Liga, and was loan to Levante UD for one year. In the last round of the competition on May 13, 2012, he completed his first appearance in a match against Athletic Bilbao, in which Levante UD defeated Athletic Bilbao 3-0 and reached the UEFA Europa League. It was for the reason that Navas joined the Valencian club by a three-year contract in July of the same year. For outstanding performances and his unremitting efforts, the football club giant offered a six-year contract to Navas for €10 million. In August of the same year, he won his first cap, and sit on the bench as alternate to Iker Casillas in the 2014 UEFA Super Cup. And he completed his debut with the club in September of the same year. For the dropping out of Casillas from Real Madrid, Navas take on his number 1 football shirts in the 2015-16 La Liga season. For his extraordinary performances on matches with Real Madrid, he became a regular starter when Real Madrid won the 2015-16 UEFA Champions League.

For eminent practical skills, dynamic energy and unremitting efforts, he earned his first cap for a friendly match against Austria in August 2006. With the supports of Navas, the club defeated Suriname in a qualification for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The team was entitled to participate in next-stage competition for this time victory.

As the best goalkeeper of the team, Navas appeared in two CONCACAF Gold Cup matches, helping his country obtain the qualification for the semi-finals. He also contributed to help the team enter into quarter finals two years later. But, unfortunately, he failed to play the tournament for injuries in 2013 and in 2015. Until, Navas has recovered from injuries and played a match of 2014 FIFA World Cup against Uruguay in Fortaleza. For outstanding performances on football fields and great contributions he having made in matches, Navas was awarded the honor of Man of the Match in normal time.

Until now, he has still continuing the professional football career with more efforts and more energy. I hope he could become an excellent professional footballer as Pele and become a records holder in many aspects.
